Little Moppets Early Education & Care Centre
We are thrilled to introduce Little Moppets, a brand new, family-owned and operated early childhood education and care centre, dedicated to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children to grow, learn, and thrive. Our state-of-the-art facility is designed to meet the unique needs of children from birth to six years, with a focus on fostering a love of learning, socialization, and exploration.
At Little Moppets, we believe that every child is unique and deserving of a high-quality education that caters to their individual needs and interests. Our experienced and qualified educators are passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment that encourages children to feel safe, valued, and respected. We are committed to building strong relationships with families and the wider community, working together to provide the best possible start in life for our children.
Our purpose-built centre boasts spacious, well-appointed indoor and outdoor areas, carefully designed to promote learning, creativity, and physical activity. Our indoor spaces are filled with natural light, and our outdoor areas feature beautifully landscaped gardens, providing ample opportunities for children to explore, discover, and connect with nature.
Our team of experienced and qualified educators are dedicated to providing the highest level of care and education for our children. With a deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS), our educators are skilled in creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our children.

Distinguished and Famous people from Cessnock
Jack Newton
Cessnock-born golfer Jack Newton won the Australian Open and finished runner-up at both the 1975 British Open and the 1980 Masters. A severe aircraft-propeller accident ended his tournament career in 1983, but he continued contributing to golf through junior development and fundraising with his wife Jackie. His Celebrity Classic became a major part of that work. Remembered warmly in the Hunter sporting community, he also followed the Newcastle Knights with enthusiasm. His legacy extends beyond his own results to the opportunities created for younger players.
